Terrain, Weather & Safety
September conditions are generally dry and sunny, with average temperatures of around 7°C minimum and 22°C maximum. The full moon is expected to be a major aid for night navigation.
Competitors should expect loose rock, clay soils, steep sections in places, and classic long-route decision making. Carry extra water, wear gaiters, and take care with post-event fatigue and wildlife on roads at night.
